6666 (Four Sixes) Trailer (2025): Yellowstone’s First Sequel Promises a Bold New Chapter
Paramount has officially announced the highly anticipated Yellowstone sequel series, “6666,” set to debut in 2025. Fans have been buzzing since the Four Sixes Ranch was first introduced in Yellowstone’s fourth season, with even more screen time in season five.
Unlike other ranches briefly featured on the show, the Four Sixes was clearly set up as a launching pad for its own story, laying the groundwork for a Texas-based spinoff.
Central to the Four Sixes storyline is Jimmy Herdstrom, the beloved underdog who left Montana for Texas. Viewers watched Jimmy say a tearful goodbye to Mia, wrestle with guilt, meet Emily, fall in love, and ultimately find a sense of belonging at the Four Sixes Ranch.
By season five, Jimmy had grown more mature and content than ever before, making fans proud of his journey. While some wonder what’s left to explore in Jimmy’s character arc, there’s still anticipation for what’s next.
Another key character expected to shake things up at the Four Sixes is Teter. After losing Colby in the Yellowstone finale, Teter pleaded with Travis for a job on the ranch.
With a simple nod from Jimmy, Teter’s place in the upcoming series was sealed. Including Teter is seen as one of creator Taylor Sheridan’s smartest moves, bringing a fresh dynamic to the show.
As for Travis, played by Sheridan himself, opinions are mixed. Some fans aren’t drawn to his on-screen presence, but with Jimmy and Teter at the heart of the new show, there’s plenty of excitement regardless.
Rumors are swirling that the series is still searching for an A-list star to headline, with Matthew McConaughey’s name at the top of the list. As a native Texan with undeniable cowboy charm and authenticity, McConaughey would be a perfect fit for the Four Sixes world.
Plot-wise, “6666” is expected to take a different approach from Yellowstone. Instead of focusing on politics, power struggles, and land disputes, the new series will dive deep into the everyday realities of running a ranch.
The show aims to feel more personal and grounded—almost like a documentary—since the Four Sixes is a real, functioning ranch. Audiences can expect authentic scenes of dusty barns, hardworking cowboys, and the challenges of ranch life in modern-day Texas.
Despite the excitement, there’s still no official release date, and some uncertainty remains about the show’s development. Executive producer Christina Voros recently admitted she wasn’t sure if production was actively moving forward, causing concern among fans. However, IMDb still lists “6666” as a 2025 release, giving hope that the project is on track.
Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy, is busier than ever with multiple projects, including a role as Lee Harvey Oswald in the upcoming thriller “November 1963,” voice work in “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” and appearances in other series and films. Still, there’s optimism that he’ll return for “6666.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Landon (Teter) and Matthew McConaughey have lighter schedules, increasing the likelihood of their involvement.
As fans await more news, the anticipation for “6666” continues to grow, promising a fresh, authentic take on the Yellowstone universe and the legendary Four Sixes Ranch.
