Whoopi Goldberg is revealing why she ditched her bra decades ago.
During Tuesday’s episode of The View, the 69-year-old EGOT winner pretended to take a quick little nap at the Hot Topics Table during a conversation surrounding the proper way to put on the aforementioned undergarment. When asked by Sunny Hostin for her thoughts, Goldberg snapped out of her reverie and responded, “What? I don’t wear a bra.”
As the crowd burst into a mixture of loud hoots and applause, Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Goldberg what piece of clothing she uses to clip her mic pack for the show to instead. The Ghost star simply pulled open the side of her top and lifted up a black garment underneath her white shirt, adding, “On my under wear.”

While the news may have come as a surprise to Goldberg’s younger costars, the same couldn’t be said for her longtime View cohost Joy Behar. “She liberated those girls a long time ago,” the comedian teased.
Like, five decades ago. “I have not worn a bra in 50 years,” Goldberg continued. “’Cause I didn’t understand… It’s too uncomfortable. And I don’t mind if they hit the floor, they’re mine!”
Sara Haines interjected that she’d personally hate to be reminded of just how far her boobs had sagged over the years by feeling them hit the ground one day.
Goldberg, however, already had a quick fix in mind should she ever find herself facing the problem. “Oh no, but this is what you do,” she said, before standing up from the desk. “You’re walking and then you think, ‘Hey girl!’”
The actress then proceeded to kick one of her imaginary extra stretchy breasts up into the air like a soccer ball and then loop it over her shoulder like a scarf for extra added convenience.
“It’s like boxbollen,” Haines joked as the rest of their costars laughed. “You just kick it!”

“I mean, hey!” A grinning Goldberg said in her defense before cutting to commercial break. “We’ll be right back!”
