Onijah Robinson, now known as the “Queen of Pakistan,” has captured the hearts of social media users after going viral for looking for love in the country.
The New York native flew to Pakistan last year to meet her teenage online boyfriend. When she arrived, she was reportedly ghosted by the now-19-year-old Nidal Ahmed and his family. Furthermore, it was reported that they claimed he had been catfished.
But what really happened when Onijah Robinson arrived in Pakistan? What went down on her subsequent trip to Dubai? And is she really married now?
The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is now speaking to the man at the center of it all on ‘TSR Investigates.’
What REALLY Happened To Onijah Robinson?
According to Carter, Ahmed’s relationship with Robinson began “years ago” when he was conducting cold calls and stumbled on Robinson’s contact. Per the 19-year-old, he and Robinson now talk on the phone daily and share a romance that’s now two years deep.
Ahmed also shared that it was Robinson’s own decision to travel to Pakistan so they could meet face-to-face. Subsequently, it was reported that Ahmed and his family ghosted Robinson because she allegedly portrayed herself as a white woman online.
However, speaking with Carter, Ahmed maintains that when he met Robinson, everything “was all good.” In fact, Ahmed claims that when Robinson arrived, his parents became ill, and his focus shifted to caring for them rather than appearing alongside Robinson.
Nidal Ahmed Explains What Happened To The Viral Star In Dubai? Are They Married?
According to Ahmed, Robinson was in Pakistan for three months. During that time, she reportedly went on outings with his sister, cousins, and mother.
“It hurts a lot because nobody did their research and confirmed anything,” Ahmed said of the false reports alleging he and his family “hated” Robinson. “They [all] still talk on a video call ’til [this] day… they’re really good friends.”
