The recent publicized meeting between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has fired up people, with everyone picking sides and expressing their opinions on the matter.

Whoopi Goldberg, one of the most controversial figures in Hollywood, has also conveyed what she feels about the broadcasted event.

However, Alex Jones, a commentator who’s known for his conspiracy theories, has slammed her to no extent. So, let’s look at why Goldberg has received such harsh criticism from Jones.

The View has long been a battleground for strong opinions, and this time around, it’s Whoopi Goldberg’s latest remarks that have ignited a debate. Goldberg is known for her outspoken political views, and she certainly didn’t mince her words while talking about Donald Trump’s meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.

She called the encounter “one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen” and described the situation as “chilling.” According to Goldberg, there’s been a stark shift in the U.S’s support for Ukraine.

Moreover, she also expressed her frustration over Trump’s perceived disrespect toward Zelensky and the country’s apparent lack of support from its historical stance of opposing aggression.

I do stand with you, Zelensky, because you’ve been fighting, your country has been fighting,” she declared. Her co-hosts also suggested that “this was all staged,” and the gist of their argument was Donald Trump not siding with Ukraine.

Whoopi Goldberg’s take did not sit well with everyone, especially Alex Jones. The political commentator took to social media and slammed her in a post, where he accused her of misrepresenting the meeting.

Jones also suggested that Goldberg had no understanding of American voters’ intentions or the history that led to the catastrophe between Ukraine and Russia.

You’re about to see an obviously drunken, probably on benzos Whoopi Goldberg, slur through her words, doesn’t know Zelensky’s name, make up a bunch of crazy history and then just like Maxine Waters, get out there and confront these people because we voted for this Ukraine war, and Trump’s basically a dictator.

No, the American people voted to stop the nuclear war. It has been NATO invading up to Russia’s borders that triggered this, but she is so stupid. 

However, Whoopi Goldberg and Alex Jones aren’t the only two individuals in disagreement, as the entirety of social media has been divided since the Trump and Zelensky fiasco. But what people must refrain from is name-calling and insulting someone with an opposing view, and aim to engage in respectful political discussions.
