Ali Larter’s Landman Season 2 hint suggests Taylor Sheridan learned from Yellowstone’s plot issues, promising a tighter, focused narrative.

Ali Larter spilling a little tea on Landman Season 2 got us thinking whether Taylor Sheridan might be turning over a new leaf. It sounds like he’s actually listened to all those whispers (and shouts!) about Yellowstone‘s, well, let’s just say “adventures in storytelling.”
Remember how Yellowstone sometimes felt like it was just making it up as it went along, with plots that vanished faster than a free ranch hand at quitting time?
Larter’s comments give us a glimmer of hope that Landman could be tighter, more focused, and actually wrap things up. Maybe TS has learned his lesson and is ready to give us a show that’s less “huh?” and more “heck yeah!”
Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone lessons? Ali Larter hints at tighter Landman arcs

Ali Larter’s chatter about Landman Season 2 is sparking whispers that Taylor Sheridan might finally be learning from his Yellowstone “mistakes.” The former model’s remarks hint at a more refined narrative for Landman, a promising sign for viewers hoping for tighter plotting and character arcs that actually, you know, arc.
Larter, who plays the brash, big personality ex-wife Angela Norris, is currently deep in production in West Texas. She’s buzzing about how Angela, who started as all “attitude and acrylics” on a FaceTime call in Season 1 before storming into Midland like a “Category 5 storm,” is getting even more layered and complicated.
Unlike, perhaps, some Yellowstone characters who felt a bit… stagnant (looking at you, Beth Dutton!), Angela is evolving. In an exclusive interview with Collider, the 49-year-old gushed,
We do. People keep asking us about the chemistry and all that. For actors like you definitely have to find it if you don’t have it, but when you naturally do and then you put the time into the work, it’s just super magic.
And the fact that we get to do this, and we took these two characters with Tommy and Angelo, and we just found this amazing, interesting, complicated, messy, love story, and we love to be able to put it on camera, and we love the way the story is going in the second season.
Ali Larter sees Angela as a lens into the cost of the oil business, revealing “the depth of how dangerous that world is.” Angela’s messy attempts to reunite her family and woo back Tommy (showing love through food and creating moments for her children) make for a genuinely layered character.
This focus on internal journeys and intricate relationships, rather than just explosions and cowboy dramatics, suggests Taylor Sheridan might indeed be finessing his craft. While Landman Season 2 promises to be all the more emotionally explosive, let’s hope this time, the emotional explosions hit differently.
Billy Bob Thornton on Landman’s “international hit” status

Billy Bob Thornton is afraid to read reviews, but his show, Landman is an international hit. The Paramount+ drama, spearheaded by Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridan, surprised everyone with its rapid global success, far beyond its anticipated Middle America appeal. Good news for fans: Season 2 of Landman is slated for a November release. “Looks like it’s going to be a Scorpio!” Thornton quipped, per sources.
Even though Thornton shies away from reading the press, his wife, Connie Angland, keeps him informed.
The star-studded cast, including Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, and Andy Garcia, adds to the show’s appeal. Working with veterans like Moore and Garcia was a “pleasure,” with Thornton and Moore even sharing a laugh about their past shared scenes in Indecent Proposal.
The camaraderie extends off-screen, as Jacob Lofland (Thornton’s on-screen son) noted the cast often hangs out, fostering a family-like environment. Season 2 welcomes Sam Elliott, heightening anticipation for Landman‘s November return.
