The View producer Brian Teta was once again called out by EGOT-winning actress and show moderator Whoopi Goldberg live on the air.
Whoopi Goldberg gets annoyed with ‘The View’ producer Brian Teta
Tuesday’s show saw Goldberg and her cohosts lamenting the current state of American politics, with the Ghost and Sister Act star attempting to make a point about Donald Trump-supporting politicians potentially flipping their support in the wake of the president’s controversial policies — though she was cut off when Teta cued up the show’s theme song as a sign to send the program to a commercial break.
“The politicians are going to take a while, but I think it’s beginning because you’re starting to hear them say, we’re voting on this bill that, had we done this, a couple of…” the 69-year-old said, trailing off before turning in her chair to look at an off-camera Teta, before asking: “You like to play that music, don’t you?”
The show then cut to a shot of Teta watching from his production perch, as he nervously replied, “We have a lot of guests today.”
At the table, panelist Joy Behar reminded Goldberg, “We have two guests!”
Goldberg responded, “I know, but I was going to put a period on it,” joking that it was “too late now” to wrap up the segment neatly.

Back in his little corner, Teta told Goldberg, “It’s low music, you can keep talking over the music,” though the actress turned toward her colleagues with an annoyed look on her face as the show transitioned to an ad segment.
In recent months, the show has seen an uptick in Goldberg playfully jabbing The View‘s off-camera crew during live broadcasts, mostly for attempting to move her along or as they prompt her to tee up a commercial if they’re running long.
In February, one of the show’s Hot Topics segments ran long, resulting in the program bumping an interview with the cast of Queer Eye from its live show to a pre-taped segment that eventually aired days later.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
